Do you want to learn to jump higher? Is dunking a goal or yours?

The HoopsFest Jumping & Dunking clinic will help you accelerate your progress towards making your first dunk or taking your dunking skills to the next level.

At the clinic, you will learn how to:

  • Warm-up

  • Jump (approach​, arm-swing, penultimate step, take-off, landing, etc.)

  • Dunk (basic through advanced)

  • Think properly and use visualization

  • Training tips

Ages: The Jumping & Dunking clinic is for ages 12 through 18 year olds.

Where? Keith Jr. High School gym. Once you register, we will send you directions.

When? Sunday, July 20th at 1 PM (1:00 - 2:30 PM)

FAQs:

Q: Do I need to already know how to dunk before I come?

A: No. If you have dunking aspirations or just want to increase your vertical, this clinic will help you.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Athletic shoes, water. Basketballs are provided.

Q: Is there a limit to participants?

A: Yes. Only 25

Instructor: Dominic Gonzales

Schedule:

  • 1:00 PM Welcome and Introduction

  • 1:00-1:30 PM Jumping and Dunking advice and demonstrations

  • 1:30 PM Drill time: Attendees break up into small groups at stations to work on drills/skills Dom taught them

  • 2:15 PM Wrap up and testimony time

  • 2:30 PM Dismissal

About Dom:

Dominic Gonzales (known worldwide as @dom.dunks) is a 21 year old Professional Dunker based out of California, USA.

At 19, he was the youngest Dunker to win a FIBA 3x3 World Tour Dunk Contest (in Edmonton, Canada - 2023)

Although only 5’8”, Dominic uses his 48” max. vertical to crush electrifying dunks with both style and fluidity.

His signature Snake Dunk has become a fan favorite and inspired the design of his DOM DUNKS x JORDAN KILGANON Snake Shorts Collaboration.

He has been a perennial Coach at the world famous The Dunk Camp and is now a ProDUNKER represented athlete.

HoopsFest is excited to welcome Dominic to Altoona and see him wow the crowd July 19th and lead the HoopsFest Jumping & Dunking Clinic Sunday, July 20th.
